My name is Scott Campbell and I've been shooting for over 30 years. I experienced the joy of capturing a 'life moment' with my photography very early and I've been documenting my journey through life ever since. I've taken many photographs of places I have been and people I have met.
I am one of the very lucky ones who gets to take photographs for the love of it. All of the proceeds from my photography (that is the price less my direct costs) go to my favourite charity: the Lester B. Pearson College of the Pacific.
I've always tried to keep in mind Ansel Adam's saying "there are two people in every photograph: the photographer and the viewer" by producing photographs that communicate to the viewer the emotion of the moment. Much like a tourist would purchase a postcard to document a special place on a trip, I try to capture life moments to a 'postcard' to share with others.
Please browse through the postcards in the galleries here, or wander over to my blog, Postcards of a Life Well Traveled. If a particular photograph captures your imagination, you can add it to your light box and buy it. I will hand craft a print, mount it, and send it to you.
I am currently located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. If you are nearby and are interested in having me capture a photograph for you please go to the "Contact" menu and drop me a note. I also travel quite a bit, so check to se if I will soon be in a town near you.
A Figgy Duff is a dessert common in Newfoundland (see the Menu for a recipe). It is a heavy, stick-to-your-ribs yummy treat. Just like a good duff, a good photograph should be enjoyable and warm you up inside. Call me and let's see if we can cook up a photograph that will 'stick-to-your-ribs'!
-Scott.
